Meek Mill (ft. Drake) — Amen (Live in Detroit)

31 May

I spend most of my year out in Michigan so this one definitely caught my eye.  Meek Mill as been with  Drake on tour in North America for the last few weeks and they stopped by D-Town last night and killed it on “Amen”.  Check out the live video below.

If you haven’t downloaded Meek’ new tape Dreamchasers 2, get on it now.

Avicii — Two Million (Original Mix) Download

30 May

WOAAAAAAAH.  Avicii just reached 2 million likes on Facebook and decided to drop a fresh track for all of his fans.  I saw him live in concert a few months ago and he absolutely murdered the set.  If you’re into house/electro, download this now.  If you’re not, download it anyway.

“High For This” – Ellie Goulding (prod. by Xaphoon Jones) & Download

30 May

Xaphoon dropped this one late last night and its definitely worth a listen.  It features the lyrical stylings of Ellie Goulding (of “Lights” fame) with production by Xaphoon on a cover of The Weeknd’s song by the same name.

Jay-Z & Kanye West — No Church In The Wild (Video)

29 May

Brand new video for this Watch the Throne track.  A little eerie but it fits the song’s message well.  Definitely has a gotham city feel to it.  The more I think about it, it’s probably one of the more involved videos I’ve seen in a while.  Wonder where they found the space to stage all that mayhem.  Strange that Kan and J don’t make an appearance but other than that it’s tight.

Shop So Hard (Niggas in Paris Parody Video)

29 May

“Shop so hard — let’s keep going, hella deals just keep going.  These cravings, these savings…touchdown like I’m T.Owens”

Justin Bieber — Boyfriend (Remix) (with 2 CHAINZ, MAC MILLER & ASHER ROTH)

25 May

Bieber came out of this Disney shell and surprised a lot of folks with “Boyfriend.”

2 Chainz, Mac, and Asher came together on the original Bieber track and the result is worth a listen.  Have to admit that it’s not exactly the hardest crew out there but they work well on the pop-hop track.

Dave Patten — “Just For Me”

21 Feb

We spoke to Dave Patten a few months ago and we still think he’s the man.

He’s back with a new video (he produces all of them himself) and we’re digging it.  This one is called “Just for Me.”

I still like his tracks with Meek Mill the best — they were truly crossover gold, but this one is worth a listen as well.  He’s got a new album dropping next week called “Gone” and will be doing a release party at UPenn.  If you’re a Quaker, keep it on your radar.

P.S. Don’t worry about the YouTube thumbail…the video is definitely safe for work!
