Eminem, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent: Syllables

29 Dec

“Its not about lyrics anymore,” says Eminem at the beginning of the track. “It’s about a hot beat and a catchy hook.”

I suppose Waka Flocka would agree.

The Dr. Dre produced single “Syllables” leaked on the internet and, simply put, is the opposite of Em’s statement.

“If we gotta dumb down our style and ABC it, then so be it
cause nowadays these kids, jeez, don’t give a shit bout lyrics”

As if Eminem, Dre, and 50 weren’t enough, the addition of Jay-Z to the trio puts this joint over the top.  And it’s safe to say they won’t throw a hissy fit about it being leaked.

Check out “Syllables” and let us know what you think:

Considering that “Recovery” is filled with the “syllables” (i.e. shitty lyrics) that Eminem keeps complaining about, this song is funny and ironic.

This is probably the biggest collaboration track in history of rap, no wait .. music. Thats a lot of money right there. Song’s dope, could’ve been harder though.
