J. Cole: “Work Out” (And He’s Approved This One)

16 Jun

Just as we were mentioning the upcoming J. Cole album debut, the man himself released a fresh new single titled “Work Out.”  Marking the one year anniversary of his mixtape “The Warm Up,” Cole gave a shoutout and dropped a download link via his website Dream Villian.  The track has an old school, twang/funk type feel, maybe a little different from some of his other, better-known songs (see “Who Dat,” “Lights Please,” and “In The Morning“) but still the high-quality music we’ve come to expect from Cole.  With an album to drop by September and another to come (rumored within the next year), there’s a lot of reasons to be excited about this dude.
